HigherEd BlogCon 2006 Call for Presenters
The official Call for Presenters for the all-online HigherEd BlogCon 2006 has been posted. The call closes January 31, 2006.
Through this event, we are looking to highlight the ways in which tools of new media and the social web are impacting higher education. Are you doing something with blogs or podcasts in student admission? Are you developing online communities for alumni? Have you tried classroom podcasting? Are you a student who’s pioneering the use of blogs or wikis at your institution? We would love to hear about your thoughts and experiences.
Proposals can be submitted privately via email (higheredblogcon@gmail.com) or publicly via the planning website. Review teams will guide proposal evaluation and selection. Selected presentations will be posted on the conference blog (a WordPress blog) beginning April 3, after the fashion of GlobalPRBlogWeek. Access to those presentations will be entirely free, and registration will not be required.
One way to stay informed about conference developments is via the conference update blog (or its Atom feed). Another is to register for email notification about updates on the planning wiki (see registration link in far right nav).
If you are at all interested in seeing how blogs, podcasts, wikis, RSS, and other social software are impacting higher ed, this is an event you’re going to want to mark in your calendar.
