University of Dayton Student Blogs and Podcasts

Filed under: Blogging, Podcasting — Dan Karleen @ 1:27 pm

On the heels of Ball State’s announcement about their student blogs and podcasts comes the announcement of a similar launch from the University of Dayton. Dayton’s offering is slicker than Ball State’s, with an identical template for each blog. Ball State’s individual WordPress blogs show no such template consistency, but here the nod goes to Ball State for (apparently) allowing students to skin their own blog. Ball State’s just look more like blogs to me. Both sites offer RSS feeds of each individual blog, but unlike Ball State, Dayton doesn’t allow blog comments. According to the press release, Dayton students earn $500/semester for blogging on behalf of the school.
