Master's Degree Requirements	Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0, all transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, 2 letters of recommendation, interview, essay (2-3 page personal statement that describes reasons for choosing education as profession and personal philosophy of education), proof of immunization (for those born after 1957)

Research

Focus of faculty research:

Early childhood and technology, professional development schools and community schools, students with emotional difficulties, literacy and adolescents, mindfulness, changing suburbs institute, and community schools, studying the effects of the environment on special populations, the most difficult cases, students who are presented with multiple challenges: learning, behavioral and ACE experiences who see criminal behavior as a way to cope; working on giving them the tools they need to succeed.
