Focus of faculty research: Improving public health nutrition and primarily focuses on improving access to healthy food and improving diet quality of maternal and child populations; utilized state funding to investigate user-centered design of a smartphone app for WIC clients; impact of the federal policy changes on diets of infants and toddlers enrolled in the Texas Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC); encourage father involvement and co-participation in nutrition and physical act
