Entrance Requirements

Exam Details
Master's Degree Requirements Bachelor or graduate degree in nursing; Min. undergrad or grad GPA of 3.00 (B) on a 4.00 scale. Minimum grade of 2.00 (C) in undergrad or grad research methods course and a statistics course; RN license in Alaska; Min. one year experience as RN.
Doctoral Degree Requirements Earned grad. degree in nursing from an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) program; Minimum graduate GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale. National certification as nurse practitioner, certified registered nurse anesthetist, certified nurse midwife, or clinical nurse specialist. APRN and RN license in the state of Alaska.
Additional Entrance Requirements Certificate students must have an MS in nursing from an accredited university. Applicants to the FNP or PMH-NP certificate must have national certification as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in a different field than the one being pursued.
